Indian Run Dam Rehab

The overall scope was a total rehabilitation of the spillway & earthen embankment while maintaining water supply to the treatment plant. The new concrete spillway consisted of 3800 CY of concrete with walls up to 25’ in height. Construction of the embankment consisted of over 3000 tons of drainage sand, 2800 LF of drainage pipe, and 55,000 CY of borrow earthfill. Active 100’ deep water reservoir lowered 5’ for construction, lower normal groundwater pool 7’ below bottom of excavation, water control for overflow activations, sustained heavy rains during two back to back hurricane events.
